The Process
1. Discovery
We start with a call. I want to understand your business, your goals, who you're trying to reach, and what's not working about where things stand now. This is also where we agree scope, so your quote reflects exactly what you need, nothing guessed at.
2. Design & Build
Once your content's ready and your date is booked, I get to work designing, with your energetic blueprint called in before a single page takes shape. Once your design starts to take shape, you'll get a proper look and share your thoughts. Your input shapes what happens next, this is your website, and it should feel that way from the first look.
3. Refine & Revise
This is where we tighten what's already right. A few rounds of small adjustments, wording, spacing, the little details, until everything feels exactly as it should. By this point, the bones of your site are already solid. We're just making sure every piece of it feels finished.
4. Launch
Launch day. Your site goes live, and it's ready for business, your dream clients can find you, and say yes.
From here, you're never stuck. You've got a Squarespace course to help you make your own edits, and whenever you want a hand, you can book me for focused hours.

Yes, available on request, just mention it on your discovery call and we'll sort a structure that works. Ownership of the site stays with me until it's paid in full.

Your current site stays live and untouched the whole time I'm working. I build the new version separately, and once it's approved and paid for, we point your domain to the new site. There's no downtime, and you never lose your existing site while the new one's being built.

Your build date only gets confirmed once your content is in, that's what protects your timeline as much as mine. If content's still coming together, we simply hold the date until it's ready, rather than starting and stalling partway through

Domain connection, Squarespace's own email tools, Stripe or similar payment set-up, and simple third-party links (like a scheduler or a form tool) are included as standard. Anything more involved, custom platforms, complex automations, gets scoped and quoted once I understand exactly what's needed. If you're not sure where something falls, just ask on your discovery call.

It can be, depending on what you need it for. For a simple landing page or a fast-turnaround single page, Focused Hours is usually the better fit, book a day r a half day, and it's often enough to get you live. For a proper business website, I'd generally recommend a minimum of three pages (homepage, about, and space for your core offer), it gives you room to actually explain what you do, and it performs meaningfully better for SEO than a single page can. Not sure which fits? Mention it on a discovery call and we'll figure out the right option together.

No, you'll need your own domain and Squarespace subscription, along with any other subscriptions tied to your site, like an email marketing platform. I'll connect and set everything up, and I'm always happy to advise on the right plan or tool for what you need, but the accounts and ongoing costs stay yours. That way, you're always in full control of your own site.

Content or copy is the words, everything that'll actually appear on your site. You'll get a copy cheat sheet with prompts to help you write it yourself, and if you'd rather have a professional handle it, I can point you toward a few copywriters I trust. Assets are your images (and video, if you're using any), photos of you, your work, your space, whatever helps tell your story visually. Both need to be with me before your build date, so we can stay on schedule.

It means shaping and refining what we've already agreed to build, not adding new pages or rethinking the structure partway through. If something outside the original scope comes up along the way, I'll let you know and we'll quote it separately.

Both. The same one-week timeline applies either way, though for a redesign, your current site staying live throughout means the domain swap happens right at the end, once everything's approved. Sprint covers up to 5 pages, larger projects need the standard timeline to do them justice.

Focused Hours covers most people well, book an hour or a half day whenever you need something updated, no retainer required. If you know you'll want regular, ongoing edits, a retainer can be arranged too. Just raise it on your discovery call and we'll figure out what makes sense for how hands-on you'd like me to be.

If you are planning a shoot, it's worth thinking about your website's colours beforehand, wearing tones that sit well with your palette makes a real difference. Photography and website that feel like they belong together, colour-wise, is often what separates a good site from a great one.
