Energy Healing for the Neurodivergent Nervous System: What Changed Everything for Me
The year I got diagnosed with ADHD and autism was one of the hardests year of my life.
Not because of the diagnosis itself, in many ways, that part was a relief. Finally, a framework that made sense of so much. But the timing? I had a newborn and a toddler. I was overstimulated in every direction, sleep deprived, and running completely on empty. There was no bandwidth for anything. Not rest. Not processing. Not healing.
That year, I tried everything I could access. Some of it helped. Some of it didn't. Medication wasn't an option for me, my blood pressure couldn't tolerate it. Coaching helped, but even that had its limits. When you're that overwhelmed, showing up to a session, having to think clearly, articulate what's going on, and process it in real time takes a kind of energy you simply might not have. I noticed this in myself: even the tools that were genuinely good for me felt like a drain in that season.
A year later, I signed up to study bioenergy healing. And that's when things started to shift.
What Energy Healing Did That Nothing Else Could
I've gone on to study a number of healing modalities since then, and I now work from a purely intuitive space, not following any single method, but drawing on whatever is needed. But the reason I keep coming back to energy healing, and the reason I now offer it to others, is simple: it works in a way that doesn't ask anything of you.
You don't have to name what you're feeling. You don't have to process anything out loud. You don't have to sit perfectly still or arrive in the right headspace. You can fall asleep during a session, and the healing still happens. You can let your mind wander, and the healing still happens.
Think of it like turning on a tap upstairs and walking downstairs. Does the water stop flowing just because you've left the room? No. Energy is the same. Just because you're moving around doesn't mean it isn't reaching you.
This is particularly significant for ADHD and autistic people, who often find it hard to sit still. You don't have to. You could receive a session while reading a book, folding laundry, or tidying your kitchen. Some people find that light rhythmic movement, like gently tapping their hands on their knees, helps the body settle while the energy flows. But there's no right or wrong way to receive it. The only real caution: don't put it on while driving or operating machinery. Outside of that, it's remarkably flexible.
The Shifts I've Noticed Over Time
Here's what consistent energy healing has done for me:
Nervous system regulation. I'm more regulated on a daily basis, more responsive, less reactive. The space between a trigger and my response has widened in a way I couldn't manufacture through willpower alone.
Letting go of deep patterns. Energy healing gets into layers that are subconscious, so deep that even in coaching, we can't always reach them, because we're not even aware they're there. Beliefs I'd held about myself, stories I'd absorbed over decades, patterns that predated language, these have gradually loosened their grip.
The inner critic quieting. That relentless critical voice that so many neurodivergent people know well has significantly lessened. It's not gone entirely, but it's no longer running the show.
Unmasking. Perhaps the most profound shift. I've been able to gradually shed layers of performing, shrinking, and adapting, and come back to something that feels truer to who I actually am.
Integration. Once I'd been doing energy healing consistently, I noticed that coaching landed differently. The insights weren't just understood intellectually, they were integrating at a deeper level. The two worked together in a way neither did alone.
Many neurodivergent people are also highly intuitive, and I've found that regular energy healing helps tune into that intuition more clearly. Over time, you begin to receive your own guidance during sessions, a subtle knowing, an image, a feeling. It doesn't happen overnight, and it looks different for everyone, but it's one of the quieter gifts of the practice.
What I Wish I'd Had Access To
Looking back at that season, newborn, toddler, diagnosis, exhaustion, I know what would have made a difference. The ability to receive healing at home, on my own schedule, without having to travel or find a babysitter or show up with any kind of coherence.
One-to-one energy healing sessions are wonderful. I still get them, and I still notice the difference. But they're not always accessible, in time, in logistics, or in cost.
Group energy healing changes that equation. And here's something that surprised me when I started facilitating group sessions: the collective field actually amplifies the energy. People often report experiencing more in a group session than in a one-to-one. There's something about a shared healing space that deepens the effect.
Celestial Sanctuary
This is why I created The Celestial Sanctuary, a monthly membership designed around the reality of busy, overstimulated lives.
Each month includes:
One live group energy healing session, recorded so you can return to it throughout the month
A library of sessions to choose from intuitively, whatever feels most needed in the moment
The knowing that energy is timeless: the benefits don't expire when the live session ends. Many members find they receive the most from revisiting a recording multiple times.
Bonus sessions as I’m guided.
The Celestial Sanctuary exists because I genuinely believe this work should be accessible and consistent, not a luxury that requires a certain kind of life to afford or access.
If you've been looking for nervous system support that works with your neurodivergent brain instead of demanding something from it, this was made with you in mind.
